An excellent work-horse of a Tomato, developed at the University of Wisconsin back in the 1940's. A terrific choice for canning and fresh eating. A good sized fruit (around 6-7 oz.) and generally crack-free skin make it easy to grow. Really, this is just a solid, all purpose bright red with great flavor. Seems these varieties with dull, uninteresting names are easy to overlook. That's a shame since often they are really tomato beasts!
