I love this one, plain and simple. Non demanding and easy to grow, I feel most people will have success with this variety. Something about the color, to me, is absolutely alluring- the subtle shifting of color is difficult to describe and the camera does not really pick it up. I also find this one to be very productive over a longer period than most. In the test rows, many of its neighbors had crapped out for the season yet Oaxacan Jewel was still chugging along. I would not love it near as much if it did not also have great flavor, rich and rather mild. Jewel is not an overstatement as tomatoes go but I doubt I would wear it as a necklace.
