I got ahold of this seed and was rather interested to see what would come of it. This variety was developed by the Campbell's Soup company in 1956 for their processing needs. It has since been replaced by newer varieties but it still survives in home gardens today and now, after growing it, I see why. This was a great little tomato! It pumped lots and lots of perfect 5-6 oz bright red fruit that is terrific for canning. It has a superb flavor also. In my mind, it is a good dual purpose variety. Plants were determinate so not huge and rangy- very well behaved. Maybe you ought to give it a try if you are a big canner.
