Jackie
You know, I have had Jackie for some years and though I always grew and sold it, I did not pay much attention to it. I can't give you a reason I neglected it- I just did. I got the seed from the breeder of this variety (Double Helix in Conroe, Arkansas) and as I recall, it was named for his mother. Sadly, I think Double Helix is gone. The breeder was doing some nice work and this is an example of it. So, why did I pay attention to it in 2020? Because it is hands down the best tasting cherry I grew this year. Not only that, but it is a blue class cherry. It is uniquely colored-different from the Indigo series that seems to predominate these days. I don't know how I missed the qualities in this one, but I have seen the light! Now, you should give this one a try. See if you agree with me. Very easy to grow, and pretty rambunctious. You should have plenty to pick!
