Developed by Auburn University, this terrific plant can handle our heat without any problems! In our big grow out, Atkinson came out way on top, something I truly did not expect. Seemingly endless clusters of huge (between 8oz and 1lb) perfect, almost blocky bright red fruit that were blemish free and great tasting. We also found Atkinson did very, very well as a Fall/Winter variety in our greenhouse. This variety holds its own against any hybrid. If you need a main crop dynamo, Atkinson will be a truly good choice.
