This is another of those tried and true varieties that has been around for a long time and is a trouper. One of its big positives is the fact that it does well in hot humid condition- well suited to Southern growing. Largish fruit (6oz-often much larger) that come on all at once make this a superior canning variety. As a slicer, it is great too. Homestead has performed very well for us. Traditional Tomato flavor and color.
