To bad the name is sort of bland and obvious; it deserves something way better. This one is often considered one of the best in its class. It gets tough trying to decide the "best" one. I guess that is what is fun about tomatoes, seeing which one is best for your particular growing conditions, right? Goldie is big, over a pound is typical. It has a unique texture, often described as velvety along with a very rich flavor, when you cut one in half, it is just beautiful. No matter what- if you are in the market for a big golden orange Tomato, try this one. I am willing to bet you will find this a "must have" each year. I know that if I had to pick, oh, say, only 15 kinds for my garden, this would be one of them.
