As I mentioned, we are a family farm. Who exactly is my family? To start with there is, of course, me! I am Tim. My wife, Lenny, gets stuck with a lot of the behind the scenes picking and packing and pretty much everything else I do not have time to do. She is also the person who creates the peanut butter you will find at the markets. Aside from myself and Lenny, there is my Dad and Mom!
Dad (Todd) is so important in many ways- I doubt I could list them all but to say that he has been pivotal in the creation of my farm would be an understatement. He has always pushed me when things are tough and continues to do so day to day. He also outworks me hands down! It is a great thing to have a Dad who doesn't roll his eyes every time I call and say something like "Hey! A tree just fell and smashed my shed" or "The riding mower is making a clunking noise!".
My Mom, Jan, is the person who got me going way back at the beginning. Without her, I would still be spinning my wheels. Her enthusiasm keeps me striving to succeed. I can count on her in a million different ways and no matter what, she always comes thru for us!
My son Henry, well, he is 7. I realize now a lot of you have been watching him grow up! Hard to believe when you first met him at the markets he was just a baby in diapers. Now he has a smart mouth and thinks he knows everything. Imagine that...
Phillip, whom you might see from time to time at the markets, is my best pal and the guy who I continually bounce ideas off. His advice is invaluable for many reasons. When I come up with a ridiculous idea, he delights in telling me why it is so wrong. On the other hand, he always encourages me when he thinks I am heading in the right direction. Phillip also tends to be the guy who picks up all the pieces of some project I start and makes it work- after I have given up. He just has that knack.
If you are lucky, you might meet Rachel, my oldest Daughter. She is nice enough to come on down to Texas to give us a hand each year. She is a delight and you will enjoy speaking with her!
