We are a family farm and nursery located in East Texas- Elysian Fields to be more specific, about 13 miles South of Marshall and 30 miles West of Shreveport. You will find us at the Shreveport Farmers Market each week in season and possibly others if we have enough help.
Operating since 2006, our goal has always been to provide the best products that we are capable of! We have worked hard over the years, trying new and different products. Some we have continued with, others set aside to make room for new projects. Each year we always try something new; this continued change is what keeps farming and business in general, interesting! One thing you can be assured of is this- no matter what we grow, it is essentially chemical free. If you can not eat it directly out of the field, you will not find it growing here. Simple as that.
As I mentioned, we are a family farm. Who exactly is my family? To start with there is, of course, me! I am Tim. My wife, Lenny, gets stuck with a lot of the behind the scenes picking and packing and pretty much everything else I do not have time to do. There are more of us! Scroll down!

Phillip, whom you might see from time to time at the markets, is my best pal and the guy who I continually bounce ideas off. His advice is invaluable for many reasons. When I come up with a ridiculous idea, he delights in telling me why it is so wrong. On the other hand, he always encourages me when he thinks I am heading in the right direction. Phillip also tends to be the guy who picks up all the pieces of some project I start and makes it work- after I have given up. He just has that knack. Phillip lives out here at the farm so you might be lucky enough to run into him if you visit!

Dad (Todd) is so important in many ways- I doubt I could list them all but to say that he has been pivotal in the creation of my farm would be an understatement. He has always pushed me when things are tough and continues to do so day to day. He also outworks me hands down! It is a great thing to have a Dad who doesn't roll his eyes every time I call and say something like "Hey! A tree just fell and smashed my shed" or "The riding mower is making a clunking noise!".
My Mom, Jan, is the person who got me going way back at the beginning. Without her, I would still be spinning my wheels. Her enthusiasm keeps me striving to succeed. I can count on her in a million different ways and no matter what, she always comes thru for us! |
Did you all notice this website is getting a lot easier to make sense of? I promise you, it was NOT because of me. You can thank this guy, His name is Jeremy. He is pushing me hard to get it right and he is doing a terrific job. From top to bottom, he will be reworking it all for us. Not only that but he steps in most anywhere needed. His finger prints can be found everywhere around here. If you see him at the market this Summer, thank him for the hours he has spent making this site so much better!
